• When packing boxes make sure to use more than one piece of tape to seal the top and bottom of the box.
  
• Make sure the boxes are filled to the top. If there is space between your items and the top of the box add some packing paper so the box is full.
  
• Label boxes according to what room you want them to go into at your new location.
  
• When packing use the smaller boxes for heavier items and larger boxes for lighter items. (Put books in a book box, and pillows, clothes, or linens in a large box.)
  
• Make sure lamps and lampshades are packed separately.
  
• If you're packing any liquids, put them in a plastic bin so they won't spill in the truck.
  
• Remove any loose items from your furniture drawers.
  
• Obtain a parking permit for the trucks to have a designated spot in front of your house/business on your move day.
  
• Make sure your walkways are cleared of obstructions and clean of debris.
